What is Brightspace?

Answer

Brightspace is the new Learning Management System (LMS) that NECC is moving to. Similar to Blackboard, it is where the online course content is hosted.

  • NECC is moving away from Blackboard during the 2025-2026 academic year
  • A few courses will use Brightspace in Fall 2025
  • All courses will move to Brightspace beginning Summer 2026
