What is Information Literacy?

Answer

Information literacy is a set of skills & dispositions regarding where & how to find information, how to evaluate information for relevance, quality, & bias, & how to use information legally & ethically.

NECC Librarians work with students and faculty to teach information literacy skills in classes.

If you are a faculty member looking to schedule an information literacy session with a librarian, please email the library at reference@necc.mass.edu.

If you are a student looking to schedule a research checkpoint for your information literacy intensive class, please schedule an appointment through Navigate.
