How do I log onto the college Wi-Fi?

Answer

Students can log into the Wi-Fi on campus by selecting the NECC Wi-Fi network and logging in using their NECC student ID number and password.

Faculty and staff follow the same process using their username (email address before the @ sign) and password.

Visitors can connect to the Visitor network and fill out the form that grants access.

Android and Chromebook Devices: NECC WPA2 Enterprise Profile Set-up

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select Wi-Fi
  3. Under Wi-Fi, select NECC
  4. EAP method: select PEAP
  5. Phase 2 authentication: select MSCHAPV2
  6. CA certificate: select Do not validate or Do not check or None
  7. Identity: enter your student ID number or faculty/staff username
  8. Anonymous identity: Leave blank
  9. Password: enter the password associated with the student ID number (or faculty/staff username)
  10. Click Save / Connect
